ACFE Serbia at the 5th Erste Security & Fraud Conference

ACFE Serbia took part in the 5th Erste Security & Fraud Conference, organized by Erste Bank and the Association for Digital Security – Cyber Guardian, held on 20 December 2025, at the premises of Erste Bank.

The conference once again brought together leading professionals from the fields of fraud prevention, security, internal audit, risk management, and technology.

As part of the official conference agenda, ACFE Serbia representatives Sanja Ugrčić Pavlović, Vice President of ACFE Serbia, and Miroslav Joksimović moderated the session: 

“Smart Fraud Prevention: Technology as a Response to New Regulatory Requirements (Fraud Prevention and Internal Audit 2.0)”

The session focused on the evolving role of technology in fraud prevention and internal audit, with particular emphasis on:

• regulatory expectations and supervisory pressure,
• data-driven and technology-enabled fraud prevention,
• the shift from traditional, reactive audit approaches toward predictive and preventive models (Internal Audit 2.0),
• closer cooperation between fraud, security, compliance, and internal audit functions.

The conference format enabled a high level of professional exchange of knowledge, combining expert presentations, focused sessions, and direct interaction among participants. The quality of content and expertise once again confirmed the importance of such platforms for addressing current and future challenges in fraud and security.
