Conference “Compliance Functions in Banks 2024”

On April 18-19, 2024, Sanja Ugrčić Pavlović, the vice president of ACFE Serbia, participated in the conference “Compliance Functions in Banks 2024,” held in Zlatibor, discussing the topic “How We Manage AML Risk in the Crypto Industry.”

The presentation took place on the first day of the conference, right after the National Bank of Serbia and the Administration for the Prevention of Money Laundering. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the basic elements of managing AML risk within the digital asset market in Serbia, including what digital assets are, the regulatory framework, characteristics of the technology behind virtual currencies, AML processes, etc.

Representatives from the traditional financial sector attended the presentation, showing interest in the functioning of the digital asset market and expressing a desire for further education.
