Eighth eSecurity Conference 2024: Hack or Be Hacked

Belgrade, October 7-10 – The long-awaited 8th eSecurity Conference was held at the Mona Plaza Hotel, gathering leading experts in information security. This prestigious IT event in the region attracted over 200 participants, 30 speakers, as well as numerous practical workshops and panel discussions focused on the latest threats in cybersecurity, trends, and defense techniques.

The President and Vice President of ACFE Serbia, Miroslava Gaćeša and Sanja Ugrčić Pavlović, presented the goals and mission of ACFE Serbia at the eSecurity Conference titled “Hack or Be Hacked.”

With the theme “Hack or Be Hacked,” this year’s conference offered in-depth sessions on key topics such as banking security, blockchain technology, mobile payments, and ransomware threats. Participants had the opportunity to engage in practical workshops covering areas such as ethical hacking, digital forensics, and blockchain security. One of the main events was the Capture the Flag (CTF), which challenged participants to test their skills in detecting and stopping cyber attacks.

Among the keynote speakers were Milan Vojvodić, Head of the Regulatory Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications, and Julija Novikova, Head of Digital Footprint Intelligence at Kaspersky, who shared their insights through keynote addresses and panel discussions.

The conference also provided valuable networking opportunities through social events, including a networking dinner on October 8. Participants had the chance to learn, connect, and enhance their knowledge in the ever-changing world of cybersecurity.
