Lecture on the topic: The Role of Internal Audit in Fraud Detection and Prevention

Ivana Njagojević, a member of ACFE Serbia, delivered a lecture on the topic “The Role of Internal Audit in Fraud Detection and Prevention” at the 12th Conference of the Association of Internal Auditors of Serbia in October 2024.

Ivana outlined to the internal auditors the areas and methods by which each internal auditor can contribute to fraud identification, redesign of processes and controls to prevent future fraud, and the specific role of internal auditors in fraud detection. She presented current trends, risks, and tools used in the fight against fraud. The lecture initiated discussion and interaction, and the audience found it useful and applicable to their future work.
